We (“My Active Pet”) understand the value of your privacy, and have created this policy to ensure that you are aware of the personal information you may provide when using our site, and how we might use this information.
We will only collect and store personally identifiable information from people who voluntarily submit it and agree to receive further communications from us. For example, you will need to submit some of your personal information to register for our services or be referred from your vet.
We will only use your information to contact you in the future, if you have agreed that we can do this. We will not sell your information to third parties. And only our technical team, and other third parties supporting the website will have access to this information.
In some cases, we may collect non-personal information such as the type of internet browser, computer operating system application software and peripherals you are using, to improve how our site operates.
To enable the site to function properly, unobtrusive cookies will be used to store information on your computer. They are set when you submit a form or interact with the site. And are only used on a per session basis, or to maintain user preferences. We will not share them with any third parties.
Google Analytics will be used to monitor visits to this website. They will store your IP address anonymously (with no personal information) on their US servers. So they can track how often you visit the site, and the pages you look at during each visit using _gat, _gid, and _ga cookies. The site runs on Webflow CMS, which will not use cookies to track your visit.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and The Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) you can access, rectify or erase your personal data, and restrict or object to its processing. Please send an email marked “Privacy” to rachel@myactivepet.co.uk if you want us to delete your personal information from our records.
You have the right to withdraw the consent for processing your data at any time. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before your consent was withdrawn. Please email us at rachel@myactivepet.co.uk if you would like to change the information currently held in our database.
We have put in place physical, electronic and managerial procedures, to help safeguard and secure the information we collect online. However, due to the open nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that our communications with you, or the information stored on our site or servers, will be completely free from unauthorised access by third parties, such as hackers.
